Cycling in Colombo to Negombo with Bike Tours in Sri Lanka is not just a cycling tour and it is exploring colonial heritance and different cultures of the community. You will start the cycling tour top of the Mattakkuliya Bridge and cycling along with the Hamilton Dutch Canal. It is a fascinating cycling journey out of Colombo city and explores Dutch heritage, nature, countryside, and Fishermen living style.

From Mattakkuliya Bridge to Negombo, people cycle through the countryside. 10 – 15 Km along with the Dutch canal, coconut estate and along with the coastal belt. While you cycling to Negombo you will experience fishing villages, local fishermen living style and sometime you might be able to experience fishing and unique fishing songs as well.

En-route you will visit “Dickowita Fishery harbor” and Negombo salt fishing village. After the ride you will do boat safari in Negombo Lagoon and explore crab, prawns catching methods in the lagoon.

Cycling Distance and Duration: 60 Km and 5 – 6 hrs. excursions.
